Shavuot is the most exciting holiday of the year for the team at Sefaria. After all, we're a living library of Jewish texts, so what could be more exciting than the day that we received the Torah at Mount Sinai? And, of course, we love any holiday that's celebrated with an all-night study fest. So if you're looking for resources to prepare for your Shavuot text binge session, here are a few ways to get started.
  • What does learning look like? Check out this unique, visual source sheet from Sefaria's education team and explore Shavuot as a celebration of Torah study with beautiful photography as your guide. It's a great jumping-off point for any learner.
  • Shavuot is already trending on our Topics page. We're still a few weeks away but it's clear that our community is busy getting organized for some serious Shavuot studying. Did you know you can search our library by topic? You can see everything tagged "Shavuot" and explore other related topics that interest you this spring.
  • It’s time to vote: help us add a Torah emoji to your phones and computers! Just in time for Shavuot, we’re petitioning the official, governing panel that decides which emojis you can type and text and we think it’s about time we had the Torah represented. You can vote here right now or tell your friends weigh in too by sharing our posts on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
Whether you're studying, teaching or just getting started on your Torah journey…
