Introducing Sefaria’s Android App

S6b_nologo After months of work and extensive user testing (many thanks to all of our testers around the globe!), we are excited to announce that Sefaria's native app for Android is available for download on the Google Play store.

BetaMidrash, an app developed by Josh Herzberg and Noah Santacruz—two Cooper Union undergraduates—and later acquired by Sefaria, provided the foundation for launching Sefaria’s app. Josh, Noah and several Sefaria engineers worked tirelessly to get this app up and running so that our users could study Torah whenever they were up and running!

What you need to know:

On-the-Go: Our engineers shrunk Sefaria's entire library and all of its links and interconnections to fit in your pocket! For the best experience, download the app and you'll be able to use it even while offline.

Creative Design: Designed specifically for a small screen, you can read texts along with their commentaries in a beautiful interface.

Free: Sefaria's open source Android app is available at no cost thanks to our generous supporters.

We hope that you enjoy this new digital platform for exploring Jewish texts on the go and we invite you to share your feedback and questions on the app.

When will iOS be available?

We're building the Sefaria iOS app right now and expect to start beta testing this summer. Join our email listserv to receive the latest updates.
